What are Child Dedications?

Child Dedication is an act of trusting God with your children by presenting them before our congregation as our pastor prays a blessing over them. It is also a commitment to parent your children in a way that honors God.

Why Dedicate your Child?

We do this to follow Jesus's example, since he was dedicated as a child (see Luke 2:21-22). Mary and Joseph presented Jesus as a commitment to how they would raise him to honor God. Therefore, we do the same with our children, committing ourselves to raising our children to follow God.

Who can be Dedicated?

While, typically, children are dedicated as soon as it is safe to take them in public. We will dedicate all children who are not yet old enough to make a decision for Christ on their own.
